Polytechnic Architecture. Stories of architecture and architects from the Politecnico di Milano propose a dialogue among architects, teachers, and scholars on the central role the Politecnico di Milano has played and continues to play in the training of generations of architects, and on the cultural imprint this training conveys. Through the stories of key figures, works, and teaching experiences, the meeting reflects on the evolution of architecture teaching at the Politecnico, highlighting design as a fundamental tool for knowledge, research, and the construction of knowledge.

The aim is to reflect on the distinctive features of polytechnic education, which integrates theory and practice, critical analysis and constructive experimentation. In this context, the city of Milan is considered a privileged setting for testing and applying an approach that interprets and transforms reality through design.

The talk offers insights into reinterpreting architecture and design as expressions of a formative tradition in which "designing" is a method capable of having a substantial impact on design culture and on the relationship with civil society.
